PROJECT 4 PARTICIPATION

(On Ralph Perricelli's blog)
"Choose a different font for the title, and either fade the gradient or scrap it for a solid color. The photo looks improperly scaled but that's easy to fix. The font you chose for the title is the first thing we see, so you should choose a more visually appealing one. "
(On Joe Verducci's blog)
"The picture in the lower left hand corner should be swapped out for something without rounded corners on it. It clashes with the angled design of the rest of the blog. Id also soften the gradient used behind the title. "
(On Alexander Weitzner's blog)
"The title is underwhelming as it is, and there is far too much awkward empty spots. Scale up the text boxes and photos or align them so they don't look like they are floating apart from each other like islands."
(On Matthey Mensher's blog)
"Everything looks great except. The URL's could be positioned better but honestly I wouldn't know how to do so without screwing up the rest of the design."
(On Daniyal N Khan's blog)
"If you ever use stick figures in any publication then you have to use ones styled like those you see on street signs. Otherwise it looks extremely amateurish. It also does not really elaborate on the game in any meaningful way, reading more like an advert than a pitch. besides telling us to tag the enemy, it doesn't tell us how we win, what tagging is (you have to assume the reader has never heard of the game before), and pretty much the entirety of the game rules.  "
(On Matt Fishman's blog)
"If you will have the headers that short in comparison to the text, it would be more pleasing to the eyes if you applied a slight fade effect to the end of them."
(Brian Eisenberg)
"I like this layout, It's hard to focus on the paragraph titles (IE" Why are we making this game" "overview" etc) so I would suggest bolding the font for the titles only."
(John Armando)
"It would be good to break up the text with titles or dividers, so it does not end up as the dreaded "wall-of-text". Also, you should use left alignment on the bodies of the text, and maybe choose a different font as this one is hard to focus on."

To revise my own deliverable, I will un-bold the font used in the body paragprahs or find a different font to use. Also, I will shift the text boxes so none of them will "leak" over into the margin like some currently do now. Finally, if there is any extra room remaining, I will try to add a little bit more info about chess as much as I can while trying not to clutter up the page.
